Ironman Mark

Google is your friend.  I’ve spent a couple of weeks e-mailing the people who host my website to get a copy of my database back.  It turns out that they had one.  Then by the time I asked them to restore it, they’d over-written it with a blank one.  So I lost everything. 

But then I found that Google’s Reader had a copy of everything.  So I’ve saved it in a file and will have a go at putting some of my old posts back.  Well done Google. 

Oh, I’ve also found out a lot more about security.  No idea whether I will ever be able to stop someone hacking my blog again.  However, I have now got an automatic back-up facility that saves a copy of my post database every week.

It got hacked.  I’ve now got to learn about security and how to back up databases.  Oh well.  Such is life.
