August 2009 training summary

Here is a quick summary of my training in August 2009:

- I started afresh on 1 August following by torn calf muscle in July

- As a result, the first part of the month is all swimming.

- Then I am allowed to ride my bike, so swimming goes down and bike goes up.

- Then I am allowed to run.  Woohoo.  So the last part of the month is mostly runs.  Mostly short, building in to a 1hr 7 minutes one.

 - I did no races (I pulled out of one because of my calf and the other got cancelled for “health and safety” reasons)

- But I did to a cyclosportive.  The plan was to go hard at the start and see what happens.  I did and the last half didn’t go too well!

Here’s a summary of what I did:

The first two “others” are upper-body weight training and the last is a 5k on the concept 2 rowing machine.
